Spicy Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Recipe


If you’ve finished carving up that pumpkin, save the seeds and try this extra special spicy Halloween treat.  The vampires will so not be getting you tonight!


Ingredients:

1 1/2 Cups Pumpkin Seeds

2 tsp. Butter or Oil, melted (olive oil or vegetable oil works well)

Garlic Powder (optional)

Cayenne Pepper (optional)

Cajon Seasoning (optional)

Salt

Seasoning Salt (optional)


Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.


Directions:

Clean the pumpkin seeds, it’s ok to leave a little of the strings.  Make sure to let them dry on a paper towel before the next step.


Toss the pumpkin seeds in a bowl with the melted butter or oil and add the seasonings of your choice.


Spread the pumpkin seeds on a baking sheet; make sure none are over lapping.


Bake for 45 minutes, shaking occasionally, until golden brown.
