Candy Corn Rice Crispy Treats Recipe


What better variant to the always-tasty rice crispy treat at Halloween, that adding Candy Corn.  Halloween isn’t Halloween without Candy Corn.


Ingredients:

9 Cups Miniature Marshmallows

1/2 Cup Butter

10 Cups Crispy Rice cereal

2 Cups Mixture of Candy Corn and Indian Candy Corn

3/4 Cup Miniature Chocolate Chips

Yellow and Red Food Coloring

Candy Pumpkins


Directions:

Melt the marshmallows and butter, stirring until smooth.


In a large bowl, mix the rice cereal, candy corn and miniature chips together.


Add 2 drops of yellow food color and 1 drop of red food coloring to the marshmallow mixture, adding more coloring if necessary to reach desired shade or orange.


Add the marshmallow mixture to the cereal mixture; stirring quickly to combine.


Spread on a large buttered pan; press down with buttered hands to mold it to the pan.  While still warm, press on candy pumpkins spaced 1 to 2 inches apart.


Refrigerate and cut into squares, making sure there is a candy pumpkin in each square.
